Assigning and Managing Customer Credit

Activate customer credit to apply or refund real payments as credit for customers to redeem on future purchases. You can configure customer credit to:

  • Allow users to refund real payments as customer credit
  • Allow users to redeem credit on future bookings for customers
  • Allow users to redeem credit on gift voucher purchases for customers

Activating Customer Credit

  1. On the left side menu, click on "Settings", then "General Settings"
  2. Under 'Booking and Payment Settings' click on "Payment settings"
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the 'Customer Credit' section
  4. Click on the checkbox labeled "Activate Customer Credit"
  5. If you want to activate "Team members can refund payments as credit for guests to redeem against future bookings and/or purchases" click on its checkbox

Adding Customer Credit

  1. From the main navigation, select "Customers", then "All Customers"
  2. Select the customer profile, then select the "Credit" tab
  3. Select the green plus "Add Customer Credit" icon, then set the amount and description
  4. Click on "Add Credit" to apply new credit

Managing Customer Credit

  1. From the main navigation, select "Customers", then "All Customers"
  2. Select the customer profile, then select the "Credit" tab
  3. Click on the gear "Options" icon on the right side of the credit you wish to manage
  4. Select "Edit customer credit" to manage, then click "Update credit" after updating the credit

Deleting Customer Credit

  1. From the main navigation, select "Customers", then "All Customers"
  2. Select the customer profile, then select the "Credit" tab
  3. Click on the gear "Options" icon on the right side of the credit you wish to manage
  4. Select "Delete customer credit" to delete the credit

If activated, users can apply existing credit to bookings and transactions from the booking overview. Real payments can also be refunded as credit too. To learn how, view our help guide on adding, managing, and refunding payments, on transactions.
