Assigning and redeeming credit to customers

Activate customer credit to apply or refund real payments as credit for customers to redeem on future purchases. You can configure customer credit to:

  • Allow users to refund real payments as customer credit
  • Allow users to redeem credit on future bookings for customers
  • Allow users to redeem credit on gift voucher purchases for customers

Activating and managing customer credit

To activate and manage customer credit, select "Settings" and then "General Settings" from the main navigation. Select "Customer Credit" in the settings menu on the left.

To activate and deactivate customer credit, click the "Status" button in the top right-hand corner. Change the status to "Activate Customer Credit" or "Deactivate Customer Credit".

Creating, managing and redeeming customer credit for team members

To manually add credit to customers, select "Customers" from the main navigation.

Click on the grid or list item of the customer you want to manage.

On the customer profile, select the "Credit" tab.

Select "Add Customer Credit" to apply new credit or select the gear icon on an existing credit record to edit or remove that credit.

If activated, users can apply existing credit to bookings and transactions from the booking overview. Real payments can also be refunded as credit too. To learn how, view our help guide on adding, managing and refunding payments, on transactions.

Customer redeeming credit for future purchases

Customer can redeem their remaining credit balance on future purchases (if applicable) when booking  online through your booking site.

Note: Credit is assigned to customer accounts and not their emails. Customers must have an account created in order to redeem their remaining credit balance on the booking site. Please see our guide on activating and configuring customer accounts on the booking site

To allow customers to redeem their remaining credit balance from the booking site, select "Settings" and then "General Settings" from the main navigation. Select "Customer Accounts" in the settings menu on the left.

From the customer accounts section, select the "Additional Settings" tab.

Please activate the option "Customers can redeem remaining credit on all future purchases".
